At the request (question/demand?) of another author, I’ve realized that my resources section was long out of date.  I attempt to give my “Favorites” page on SoL my attention and this section was falling down.  Way down!  So, I’ve decided to periodically update a section on this page with my marked favorites from SoL.

Again, to any author I’ve missed (you know who you are, I’ve generally sent you glowing praise, heart felt feedback, and such), I apoligize.  Just let me know and you’ll be listed in a shot!  Or a pint.  Or multiple pints.

I’ve also added Jonas’s “Writing Tips” link.  Which is a compilation of “wisdom” from the online writer’s community involved in erotic stories.  There are some wonderful insights for readers and writers in this space.  Hopefully, we’ll keep encouraging jonas to continue to ask questions and compile responses.  Excellent job so far!

An early Christmas present!  Chapter 21 is up.

Chapter 22 is underway, but I doubt it will be done this year.  Who knows, though.  The elves might get busy!

Happy Holidays, not matter your religious traditions.  We should all have something to celebrate this time of year, even Seven Day Recreationalists like myself.

Chapter 21’s first draft is done!  YEAH!  I don’t see the need for a lot of rewriting, mostly just some polishing.  I’ll be getting out the rock tumbler this weekend.  With luck, the team should have it next week.

Chapter 22’s first draft will be started before the week is out.  It is planned as another relatively short chapter (compared the the last few).  I should have a draft done before the end of the year.  Maybe, if Santa is real nice to me, have it out before the end of the year.

In the meantime, enjoy your holidays.  Above all, be safe and well.

Chapter 20 of “Rebbecca and Luis” is up on my site, SoL, and ASSTR.

This is the first chapter of Part III - Wednesday.  It follows Rebbecca and Luis through waking, their morning together at Luis’s, before school, and homeroom.  I’ll leave the suspense for your read!

I’ve begun the process of writing my annual Christmas story.  After completing a solid draft of Chapter 20 of R&L, I went forth into the world and consumed a few pints.  While doing walkies earlier (in nice brisk weather) and sitting at my wife’s “pub” (one has to wonder about anyplace that bans the wearing of colors) I had the initial inspiration.  Now, I’m seeking input.

Primarily, I’m seeking stories of where a young child “helped” their parents prepare for the holidays.  Positives, negatives, dramatic, and humorous welcomed.

That time of year is on us again.  Just a few weeks ago, we had one of those freak fall days where the temperature hit 90 (think 32C).  Last night was in the lower 20s (think -5C).  So, with freezing cold nights, it is time to enter the holiday season.  Whatever traditions you follow, may you find peace and joy.

I’m happy to say that Chapter 20 of R&L crossed a major milestone this evening.  I’m am done with rewrites.  Now, a couple of passes doing editing and it will be off to my team.

Depending how much Holiday Spirits they’ve consumed will dictate when you get to see it.  So, if you’re going to buy my team a drink, wait a week!!

I have milestones established for Rebbecca and Luis and it is always a joy to reach one of them.  Chapters, of course, are a key milestone.  Yet, Parts are a huge milestone.  Part I was a novella in length.  Part II was novel length.  So, what do I do to celebrate a milestone?  If you said have a beer, you win!

After the celebratory pint, I look at where I’ve been and how far I’ve come.  I also like to take time and look forward.  I realized at the end of Part II that I was lacking some discipline around my writing.  So, for the last few weeks I’ve been laying out, on paper, the rest of the story.  It has always been in my head, just sometimes the right things didn’t get put down on paper the right way.

I love analysis.  It is something I’ve done professionally for over 30 years.  Yet, there comes a time when additional analysis doesn’t add any value.  I reached that point a couple of weeks ago!  I was over analyzing and moving into Analysis Paralysis - so scared you missed something you can’t do anything productive.

A couple of conversations with close friends (that involved heavy objects being dropped on my head) and the Paralysis is over.  I’ve busy with Real Life and working away on Chapter 20 - “Purple Haze”.  I’m about a 1/3 of the way done and having fun writing again.

For those that have asked, the current planned chapter count is 45 (and lots of good songs as titles).  And, yes, I know how the story ends!

Yippee!  Chapter 19 is hot off the presses (so to speak).  Thus finishes Part II of our journey with Rebbecca and Luis.

I’m taking a week or so break (no more) before beginning work on Part III.  Don’t worry, a lot of it is in first draft or better stage!  I just need to take a little time away from the story and work on a couple of other projects.

Chapter 19 has made it to the team for their brand of Majick.  It should be online in a few days.

I’m working on Part III and Chapter 20.  The basic story is done for 20, 21, and 22, as well I have several scenes drafted already.  I’ll start the production as soon as I accomplish two other goals.  First, layout a more detailed map of the rest of the week.  This won’t take long as most of the work is already done.  I just want to revisit it and bring it up to date.  Second, I want to take a week or two and write another story that has been bouncing around in my head and wants out.  So, keep your eyes out for “Riding the Storm.”  It is NOT an NiS story.

I don’t mean to be sexist, but I am (I am, after all, male).  Hurricanes should be named after women.  At the end of the day, it may be the best blowjob you’ll ever have, but the aftermath is hell!

Okay, my ex is now expunged from my brain for the moment.

The Boss (my Lady G, not Amanda) and I just finished the last run through of Chapter 19.  We both like it.  Only a few minor edits.  I’ve got only a small list of “things” to weave in (easy stuff).  Then off to the team.

In the meantime, I’m watching Ike (without Tina) move through the Gulf.  One of my servers is directly in the path (as are many friends).  Hunker down, please?  Better to over prepare and grump then under prepare and cry.

Those looking for entertainment in the meantime, I’d heartily recommend “Winter Fires” by SteveH11 (http://storiesonline.net/story/53751).  He’s just posted Chapter 15 and only a couple more to go.  A really good story.

Now, back to reality.  Can I save my son from…  (Oops–wrong forum).  Back to writing and editing.
