Well, it is the South and it is the end of summer. Earl made a valiant effort to interrupt our plans last week. Enough that the local chapters of the American Red Cross were busy planning, just in case the Eastern Shore of VA needed to be evacuated. From Cape Henry at the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay and the Bay Bridge-Tunnel to the US-50 bridge to Annapolis, there is no way off the DelMarVa peninsula except by boat. Not a recommend mode of travel during a hurricane. As I said, fortunate for us, the first Big Blow of the season to reach to Mainland a) weakened, and b) turned northeast at just the right time.
I’ve been tied up for the last week plus, between Earl and “the client from hell” – who actually does pay me, just has… demands. I’ve put in close to 120 hours for him in the last 9 days.
The good news is, I began what I stopped over a week ago. I’m working on the next chapter to R&L. More than halfway with something I really like!
There are going to be some hardcore NiS fans that may not like some of the things said. Well, the opinions expressed are solely those of my characters, as being my characters. Your fuel mileage may vary. Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear. “This post contains forward-looking statements that are necessarily subject to various risks and uncertainties. These statements are based on current estimates, expectations, and projections about future events and assumptions regarding these events and the author’s knowledge of facts as of the date of this report…”
Any-who, work is progressing. Finally.
